Iron Mountain, MI – August 8, 2014 – State Police at the Iron Mountain Post responded to a two-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon in Dickinson County’s Sagola Township. The accident happened at the intersection of M-69 and M-95 when a car, driven by 34-year-old Andrew Vogt of Mount Prospect, Illinois, pulled out onto M-95 from a gas station and crossed into the path of a southbound RV motorhome driven by 74-year-old Conrad Kontio of Champion. Vogt and a passenger, 33-year-old Maylene Vogt, were taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. A 2-year-old child in the Vogt vehicle was not injured due to being properly restrained in a car seat. Troopers say seat belts were used by all people and alcohol was not a factor. Andrew Vogt was ticketed for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
