Two Arrested In Connection To Copper Thefts

    Wakefield, MI – August 8, 2014 – State Police at the Wakefield Post executed a pair of search warrants at separate residences in Ontonagon County’s Carp Lake Township near White Pine in relation to the recent theft of copper in the area. During the search, two men were arrested for Breaking and Entering. The men, one a 25-year-old from Ramsay, Michigan, the other, a 27-year-old from Bessemer, MI. The men posted their bond and were released. Troopers say the investigation is continuing and the two men may be connected to other recent thefts in the area.
