Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan Natural Resources Commission is holding its regular monthly meeting today in Alger County.

The meeting begins at 3:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 131 in Munising.

The meeting will start with the Policy Committee on Wildlife and Fisheries.

The Committee of the Whole follows at 4 p.m., and immediately following the Committee of the Whole session, the NRC will hear comments from the public.

Following public comments, the NRC will set waterfowl and other migratory bird hunting regulations for the 2014-2015 hunting season.

DNR Director Keith Creagh will consider 11 land transactions, as well as a land use order amendment to bring the order in line with current state law regarding use of fireworks at state parks.
