Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University’s music department is considering forming a community advisory committee.
University officials say the committee would be be made up of community arts supporters, alumni and music teachers and would assist in advancing the department’s mission.
Dr. Robert Engelhart, head of the music department, says the committee could meet one or two times per year to review activities, share plans and receive feedback and suggestions.
A meeting for interested individuals will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. this Saturday in the West Science Building on campus.
The meeting will explore issues related to forming the group.
