Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team says the largest single amount of meth-making materials ever seized in Marquette County was captured last night in Ishpeming.

UPSET detectives raided a pair of meth labs yesterday in the city.

In the first case, a 37–year-old woman was arrested after meth making components were discovered in a home at 260 Marble Street around 4:00 p.m.

In the second case, UPSET detectives executed a search warrant at a house on the 200 block of Oak Street around 10:00 p.m.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Meth lab components and other evidence from both locations was cleared by crews and the investigation is continuing.

Authorities say the two locations were within a few miles of each other and suspects were in a dating relationship and working together to produce the drugs.
