Marquette Residents Appointed To NMU Board

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Governor Rick Snyder has appointed two Marquette residents to the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees.

    Robert Mahaney and Tami Seavoy to the eight-person board that serves as the university’s governing body.

    NMU President Fritz Erickson says the University is thrilled with the appointment of two local community leaders to the board.

    Mahaney and Seavoy will serve eight-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2022.

    Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.

    The NMU Board of Trustees will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in the University Center Marquette-Nicolet Rooms.
