Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police are warning community residents and businesses about counterfeit money circulating in the Marquette area.

Officers are investigating reports of counterfeit money being used by individuals in stores and restaurants in and around Marquette.

The department is investigating counterfeit $20 and $5 bills.

Police are advising people and businesses to closely inspect their money used in cash transactions.

If you find a counterfeit bill, you are asked to report it to your nearest law enforcement agency.
