Road Projects Underway Near Skandia

Skandia, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A major road resurfacing project in Marquette County is getting underway today.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is resurfacing 3.8 miles of US-41 from County Road 456 to M-94 near Skandia.
The 1-point-4 million dollar project will require some lane closures under flag control.
The resurfacing is expected to be completed by October 15th. M-DOT is also continuing the project to paint the US-41 bridge over the Chocolay River north of Skandia.
Some lanes will be closed intermittently for the work and a temporary traffic signal has been posted.
That project is scheduled to be completed by September 15th.
