Marquette Township, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash late last night in Marquette Township.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the crash at US-41 and County Road HQ in front of the Walmart store just after 11:00 p.m.

A sedan, driven by a downstate Kingsley man, failed to stop for a flashing red light at the intersection and pulled out onto the highway into the path of a westbound SUV driven by an Ishpeming man.

The driver of the sedan and two passengers in that vehicle were taken to UP Health System-Marquette, while the driver of the SUV sought his own treatment.

The driver of the sedan was ticketed for Failure To Stop at a Flashing Red Light.

No names were released.
