Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Authorities responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident this morning in Sands Township.

Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies were called out around 9:30 a.m. to M-553, just north of the Lake Superior Christian Church.

Reports say a northbound SUV went out of control on a patch of ice, left the roadway and rolled over down an embankment.

Deputies say the driver was wearing a seat belt and no injuries were reported.

Excessive speed and slippery road conditions are considered to be factors in the crash.

The name of the driver has not been released at this time.
