Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  The Marquette Downtown Development Authority will be hosting a pair of public meetings to get input on a proposed food truck ordinance.

The Marquette City Commission recently directed city staff to work with the DDA to develop the ordinance to be presented to the Commission at their March 9th meeting.

The DDA is researching other communities and best practices to develop an ordinance to regulate the mobile food businesses to satisfy both food truck vendors and “brick and mortar” businesses.

The DDA will be hosting two public input sessions on Tuesday, February 24th at the Marquette Commons at 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

All interested community members are encouraged to attend.
