Menominee, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A new trial date has been set for a Menominee man accused of stabbing a woman to death last year.

48-year-old Gregory Ihander is charged in the fatal stabbing of 43-year-old Jolene Eichhorn of Carney last September.

Eichorn’s body was found in the trunk of her car in the parking lot of the Cedar River State Harbor.

Ihander’s trial was originally scheduled to begin today, but after new evidence against him was presented by prosecutors last week, the trial was rescheduled to allow the defense time to prepare.

The trial will now be held October 18th through the 28th.
