Escanaba, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Detectives with the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested two people yesterday in Escanaba on meth charges.

UPSET detectives arrested the 18-year-old suspects after they were observed buying components used in the manufacture of meth from locations around the city.

The components were found in one of the suspect’s vehicles during a traffic stop.

A search warrant executed at the suspect’s residence on Ludington Street found an active meth lab on the scene and various manufacturing components.

The suspects were arrested on felony charges of possession of meth and manufacture of meth within 500 feet of a school zone.

They have been lodged in the Delta County Jail and their names are being withheld withheld pending arraignment.
