Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University has hired a new interim director of their entrepreneurial innovation center, Invent@NMU.

David Puskala of Marquette is taking over for Invent@NMU’s founding director, Dave Ollila, who recently stepped down to take a position with a Flint-based company.

Puskala is leading a staff of NMU students who work with community and student inventors through a step-by-step process to take product ideas from concept to market.

The center is currently working on 40 active projects. Invent@NMU is located adjacent to the NMU campus at the corner of Fair and Presque Isle avenues in Marquette.
