Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Officials with the U.P. Regional Blood Center say there is currently a critical need for A-negative blood across the Upper Peninsula.

Blood donation sites are open today in Marquette, Hancock, Escanaba, and Sault Ste. Marie.

The Blood Center says donations usually drop during the summer as people are busy with seasonal activities such as travel and other vacation plans.

Donations to the U.P. Regional Blood Center always stay in the Upper Peninsula to help patients in the local community.

Center locations and hours can be found online at mgh.org.
