Baraga Woman Hurt In Early-Morning Crash

Baraga, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan State Police say one person was injured in an early-morning traffic accident in Baraga County today.

It happened around 1:20 a.m. on the Baraga Plains Road when a southbound vehicle, driven by an unidentified 47-year-old Baraga woman, went out of control near Mansfeldt Road, struck several mailboxes, left the road and hit a tree.

The woman was taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

There is no word on her condition.

State Police say alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash.
