“Do It For Daniel” Documentary Premieres This Weekend

Ishpeming, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Premiere events for the documentary film “Do It For Daniel” are happening this weekend in Ishpeming.

The film tells the story of Daniel Olson, an all-state athlete from Ishpeming High School who ended his life in 2012 after a lengthy battle with depression.

Daniel’s father, Ishpeming Hematite Head Football Coach Jeff Olson, says the film tells Daniel’s story but also seeks to raise awareness for others in the community that are currently struggling with depression and anxiety.

Premiere showings of the film are tonight at 7:00 and tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. the the W.C. Peterson Auditorium in Ishpeming.

Each showing will be immediately followed by a reception at the Gossard Building in downtown Ishpeming.
