Big Bay, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Detectives with the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and State Police from the Negaunee Post investigated a suspected meth lab at Perkins Park Campground in Big Bay yesterday.

Troopers were at the campground investigating an assault at a nearby store.

They found the assault suspect at the campground and saw components for making meth through the window of a camper.

Troopers obtained a search warrant for a vehicle and the camper, and UPSET searched both.

A “one pot” meth lab was seized as well as other meth manufacturing components.

One person was arrested for an outstanding warrant, and charges are pending on two other suspects for manufacturing meth.

No names have been released.
