U.P. Snowmobile Accident Under Investigation

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The investigation is continuing into a snowmobiling accident in Alger County Friday that injured a downstate woman.

49-year-old Adine Marie Long of Tustin, MI was northbound on Trail #8 about 3 miles north of Shingleton when she lost control of her snowmobile on a curve.

She left the trail, struck a tree and was ejected from the snowmobile. Long was transported to U.P. Health System-Marquette with multiple injuries and was last listed in stable condition.

Authorities say alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
