Head-On Crash Injures Two Near Sagola

Sagola Township, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Two people were injured yesterday after a head-on collision in Dickinson County’s Sagola Township.

State Police at Iron Mountain Post say it happened near the intersection of M-95 and M-69 around 4:00 p.m.,central time.

A southbound vehicle on M-95, driven by 64-year-old Connie Cherubini of Sagola, attempted to turn east onto Leeman Road, but crossed into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 20-year-old Cody Bednarz of Kingsford.

Bednarz was taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of an apparent leg injury.

Cherubini was also taken to the same hospital by family for treatment of minor injuries.

Police say both drivers were wearing seat belts and airbags in the vehicles did deploy.

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident.
