Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Upper Peninsula Power Company says it will be temporarily closing the Hoist Hydroelectric fishing pier on the Dead River in Marquette County at the end of this month.
The closure is planned due to concrete work at the Hoist Powerhouse.
The fishing pier will be closed to the public during the construction project and the space is needed to stage equipment for the work.
The area is expected to be closed for approximately two weeks from August 31st to September 15th.
