Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Upper Michigan is bracing for another round of arctic temperatures this weekend.
The National Weather Service is forecasting wind chills of 25 degrees below zero and colder through Sunday, with the coldest blast coming tomorrow night.
Lake effect snow will be a problem as well. A blizzard warning is in effect from 1:00 am to 10:00 pm Saturday in parts of the U.P. including Marquette, Copper Harbor, Grand Marais and Munising.
The rest of the U.P. is under a winter weather advisory.
Michigan State Police are encouraging people to use extra caution if they have to be outside during the coldest periods, and stay indoors if at all possible.
