Baraga, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Governor Rick Snyder has ordered U.S. and Michigan flags to be lowered to half-staff tomorrow and Thursday across the state in honor of two members of the Beartown Fire Department from Baraga who died last Saturday.

23-year-old James Shelifoe, Jr. and 25-year-old Alan Swartz, both of Baraga, died in a traffic crash in Minnesota as the crew was headed to Utah to assist in fighting the Box Canyon wildfire.
