Gwinn Woman Injured In Car-Grader Accident In Negaunee Twp.

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Negaunee Post say a Marquette County woman was injured this morning when her car rear-ended a grader.

The accident happened around 9:00 am on County Road 480 in Negaunee Township when an eastbound car, driven by 23-year-old Kayla Gilstorff of Gwinn, drove into the back of a Marquette County Road Commission grader.

Gilstorff and a 3-year-old child were taken to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment and observation.

Gilstorff sustained a broken leg in the crash, the 3-year-old was not injured.

The driver of the grader, 55-year-old William Vedder of Ishpeming, was not injured in the accident.

Gilstorff told police she was not able to see the grader due to being blinded by the glare of the rising sun.
