Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University is looking to hear from the public about the quality of their academic programs.

The public comment is being gathered as part of the university’s evaluation by the Higher Learning Commission.

The HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central United States.

A team representing the HLC is visiting NMU March 20th to the 23rd to review the university’s ability to meet the HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.

NMU has been accredited by the commission since 1916.
