Marquette County, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – One employee at the Tilden Mine in Marquette County was injured in an industrial accident at the mine yesterday morning.
According to reports, Cliffs Natural Resources officials say the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. when the employee was spotting rail cars when he was struck by a floor plate.
The employee was hospitalized for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident, but no name or further details are being released at this time.
Cliffs is investigating the accident.
