Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Upper Michigan educational collaboration has received state recognition.

The Upper Peninsula Education Partnership received the 2015 Collaborate Award this week at at the Michigan Economic and Education Summit, hosted by Governor Rick Snyder in Detroit.

The partnership is led by the presidents of the U.P.’s three public universities and brings together community colleges, intermediate school districts and business leaders with the goal of meeting the talent needs of the Upper Peninsula.

The statewide awards recognize collaborative efforts to provide educational and economic services more effectively and efficiently.
