Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan Tech University President Glenn Mroz has issued a statement concerning the controversial immigration Executive Order by President Trump.

Mroz says the Houghton university will defend the Constitutional rights of all in the Michigan Tech community, and will “protect the free and open exchange that is essential to scholarship, research and creativity”.

Mroz says Michigan Tech will remain a community that is open to people from across the nation and around the world.

MTU’s International Programs and Services office staff will be available to meet with individual international students concerned about their status.
