Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette man has been arrested and charged in connection with a police standoff in north Marquette earlier this month.

28-year-old Christian Nutini was arrested on a two-count warrant stemming from the incident at his residence on the 2300 block of Presque Isle Avenue last Tuesday morning.

Nutini surrendered to police after he had barricaded himself in the building for several hours. He was reported to be suicidal and had allegedly fired a weapon inside the building.

He is charged with one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a four-year felony, and one count of Discharging a Weapon In or At a Building, a 10 year felony.

Bond has been set at $25,000 and Nutini remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail pending arraignment.
