GLR News Update

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  The Marquette City Commission denied a Freedom of Information Act request last night that was filed by a Marquette resident.

Commissioners rejected the request by Michael Neiger for all of the emails made in the month of December 2013 by City Manager Bill Vajda.

The Commission said that Nieger’s request of all of Vajda’s e-mails, regardless of subject matter, was too vague and producing them would be time and cost prohibitive.

The commission cited opinions from the State Attorney General as well as the the city clerk and city attorney in denying the request.
