Marquette County Community Fund Awards Grants

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette County Community Fund has announced financial contributions to 11 community organizations totaling just over $800,000.

This is the third round of grants awarded by the fund which was created in 2012.

Projects and programs receiving funding include the Ishpeming Downtown Development Authority’s enhancement of Lake Bancroft Park, the Marquette Regional History Museum’s capital campaign, a playground construction project at Van Riper State Park, ongoing renovation of the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library and start-up funding for the Marquette Area Technical Middle College.

To date, approximately $3 million has been earmarked for community projects and programs in Marquette County.
