West Frankfort, IL – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Manistique man has been arrested in southern Illinois in connection with the recent discovery of three bodies in a burned out SUV in Schoolcraft County’s Doyle Township.

West Frankfort, Illinois police arrested 45-year-old Kenneth Daniel Brunke Sunday on a Michigan warrant for three counts of homicide.

The arrest comes after the investigation into the deaths of 42-year-old Jody Hutchinson of Gould City and sisters 31-year-old Carrie Nelson and 25-year-old Heather Aldrich, both of Newberry.

Authorities in Michigan contacted West Frankfort Police after Brunke was named a person of interest in the case.

He is being held without bond in Illinois at the Franklin County Jail.
