Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees today approved a $164 per semester increase in housing and dining rates for the upcoming academic year.

The Board, however, did not make a decision on tuition and will take up the matter after higher education appropriations are decided in Lansing.

The university will continue all budgets until new versions are approved.

The budgets will not exceed current levels, except for any increases required by negotiated union contracts.
