Gwinn Man Sentenced For Domestic Violence

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette county man was sentenced yesterday for domestic assault.

29-year-old Brandon Strohm of Gwinn was arrested on April 2nd by Forsyth Township Police who responded to a report of domestic assault at a residence on the 400 block of North River Drive in Gwinn.

Strohm was arrested for assaulting a 26-year-old woman and attempting to choke her during the assault.

Strohm plead guilty to a charge of Aggravated Domestic Violence, which is a misdemeanor.

He was originally charged with one felony count of Assault by Strangulation.

He was sentenced to a year of probation and must pay $1,600 in fines.
