Iron Mountain, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Strong thunderstorms moved across portions of western and central Upper Michigan overnight causing some damage and power problems.

Power outages and downed trees and branches were reported in areas including near Lake Antoine in Dickinson County.

The National Weather Service office in Negaunee Township says the storms featured heavy downpours and gusty winds and hail as a cold front crossed the region early this morning.
