Last Friday, I hosted a live remote at Susan Dix’s business, Morrison’s Gift Store in Ishpeming. The business has been in Ishpeming for 40 years. Susan has a diverse selection of gifts in her store from big name companies; Precious Moments, Hallmark Gifts and Cards, Jim Shore figurines, Connie Beckaman jewelery and so much more.
What I thought was a great testament to their 40 years of business was their Memory Wall. Since 1984, Susan has annually held a Precious Moments Theme Fund Raiser for Easter Seals. Susan has photo albums of these events and photos of area collectors who participated in her annual events.
Another aspect of Morrison’s Gifts is Charlie the stuffed bear!! He sits inside the front door, waiting for kids to come in and have their picture taken with him.Susan along with her Sales Associate, Sherri and her photographer, Debbie talked me into a photo with Charlie. I couldn’t resist – besides, Charlie reminded me of a stuffed monkey my wife, Debbie had in her beauty shop. Kids love cuddly stuff like that – – how could I resist!!!
Amy from our Traffic Dept. came by to check on Morrison’s Sale – she couldn’t resist Charlie either!!!!!
