DNR Wildlife Biologist Discusses U.P. Wolf Management Plan
DNR Wildlife Biologist Brian Roell.
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The recent controversies and commentaries in the news about wolves in Upper Michigan have resulted in a high degree of misinformation and half-truths being circulated around the state.
In an effort to discuss the wolf issues in the U.P. in a scientific and rational matter, Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Biologist Brian Roell stopped in today to share his knowledge.
Roell brought his information to The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike for an in-depth interview to get past the 15-second soundbites that are usually afforded to the topic.
Roell explained the current relationship between wolves and the ever-expanding urban population in the U.P. He also talked about the politicizing of the wolf and how emotions have risen to the top of the debate, replacing rational and science-based discussions of the key issues at hand.
