Remember your grandmas lawn mower? Chances are good it was the old fashioned push mower that built muscles and left grampa exhausted…assuming he was the one actually pushing it around the yard.
I used to mow my grammas lawn when I was a kid and she lived in the country on a hill.
Let me rephrase that because “hill” doesn’t really describe the setting correctly. It was more like a highland…somewhat Alpine-ish. I often saw a little blond running with cocoa and yodeling…oh wait that was me. Here’s the deal. By the time I was fourteen I had arm muscles that rivaled Pop-eyes. There’s not a fourteen year old girl on the planet that wants Pop-eye pecs and I for sure didn’t like spinach!
The days of push mowers are behind us and a new day has arrived for anyone who cuts their own grass!
We are hosting the Manicure Your Lawn party this Thursday and one lucky winner will take home the beautiful Cub Cadet Mower from Bergdahls in Skandia! It’ll be held at the River Rock Lanes in Ishpeming and the party starts at 7. (Thanks Clay and Donna!) The invites have been sent and if you haven’t received yours yet check your mailbox! A Mama Russo dinner will be served up and there will be opportunities to win prizes throughout the evening! With warmer weather nipping at our heels we know yard work is just a balmy breeze away!
