Copper Harbor – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a two-day Spring Fling in the Keweenaw tour May 18 and 19. North Country Tours will lead active travelers to Copper Harbor and back, visiting sights off the beaten path. The trip includes an overnight stay at the historic Keweenaw Mountain Lodge.
Participants will hike along Big Bear Bluff and into the falls at the mouth of the Montreal River, tour the Central Mine Location, see the Estivant Pines and Bete Grise Lighthouse and view the Keweenaw from the top of Bumbletown Hill and Brockway Mountain.
The group will meet at 8 a.m. May 18 at the Berry Events Center east parking lot or at 8:20 a.m. at the Ishpeming Jubilee and return between 9:30 and 10 p.m. May 19.
Cost is $152 per person, double-occupancy in a one-bedroom cabin; $165 per person, double occupancy, two-bedroom cabin; or $209 for single occupancy. The cost includes lodging, deluxe van transportation, tour guide and all admissions; meals cost is not included.
