Marquette, MI – October 1, 2015 – There is only one better feeling than knowing you get to sleep in: sleeping in when you were supposed to get up for an 8am class.
As a junior, journalism major, classes before 10am are basically unheard of. You can only imagine my discontent last April when the class I needed to graduate was only offered at 8am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Such a bummer.
This morning, though, I woke up and checked my email to see an email from my professor. Good vibes rang through my body and jolted me awake as I anxiously clicked on it. I squealed in excitement when I read that he thought we deserved a morning off since waking up that early has to be tough.
I set my phone down on my bed side table and smiled as I wrapped my blue fuzzy blanket around me and nestled myself into a cocoon. I am a heavy appreciator of sleep. If I was given the option to be any animal, I think I’d pick a sloth because they sleep between 15-20 hours a day.
I’m wide awake and well-rested now as we prepare for the big Ultimate Cave Giveaway tonight at Red Rock Lanes in Ishpeming. Hope to see you tonight!
