Marquette, MI  –  07/26/2019  –  The 2019 annual Blueberry Festival is underway! We were down there today checking out the yummy treats and the awesome items they have for sale. Washington and Front streets were packed with people looking at all the sights and activities. Until 7pm, the streets will be lined with all of our favorite Marquette shops and local artists selling blueberry themed and other related items. Blueberry Beer and Blueberry Mojitos seem to be a favorite among adults at the festival. While other favorites like cotton candy and snow cones were devoured by happy children.

The festival has a huge selection of food to eat. Grab a burger from The Burger Bus, or sit outside of Digs and have dinner tonight. Other shops like Getz’s and Superior Outfitters brought their merchandise to the streets for the festival. Get a henna tattoo or your face painted while you listen to music from local bands and musicians. They also have pony rides right outside of The Vierling! There are kids inflatable bouncy houses and gymnastics activities happening down Main St.

Of course you need to pick up a fresh batch of blueberries from Spiessl’s Market right when you enter the festivities on Washington. All of your favorite local business are down at this years Blueberry Festival, and you still have time to go check them out!
