Houghton, Michigan – Dillon Geshel brought news to the 8th Day of the Portage Lake District Library’s Haunted Library event coming Friday, October 19, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. “The Portage Lake District Library (58 Huron St, Houghton, MI 49931) and the City of Houghton Police Department invite kids and their families to wear Halloween costumes and have a frightfully good time at the library.”
More Information:
“Special guests” will read stories throughout the evening during the Haunted Storytime. There will be Halloween games and activities, hot dogs and veggie dogs, chips, apple cider, and Halloween treats. Kids can walk through the gently “spooky” Michigan Room and watch a Halloween movie.
Prior to this event, kids and their families can enjoy more Halloween fun at the Isle Royale Visitor Center from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Kids can go on a scavenger hunt aboard the Ranger III and receive a 10% off coupon to spend at the Visitor Center’s gift store.
