Norway, Michigan– Negaunee scores on their first possession to take an early 2-0 lead. The Miners have turned another Norway turnover into a bucket, as they lead 4-0 with just under six minutes left in the first quarter. Tanner Uren hits a 3-pointer as the Miners go up 7-0, forcing a Norway timeout. The Miners offense is clicking early, as they are up 10-0 halfway through the first quarter. With two minutes remaining in the first quarter, the Miners are leading the Knights 14-2. Negaunee is stifling the Norway offense as they lead 16-3.

First quarter:

Negaunee: 20      Norway: 5

Eric Lori and the Miners score first in the second quarter as they jump out to a 17 point lead. With 4:20 left in the first half Negaunee leads 22-8. The pace has slowed a bit in the second quarter as Norway has switched to a zone. The Knights connect on a 3-pointer, cutting the lead to 22-11. Eric Lori scores to break the Miner drought, putting Negaunee up 24-11.

Eric Lori gets the first basket of the second half for Negaunee, as the Miners are up 26-11 and pressing the Knights. Lori and Uren convert back-to-back buckets off of Norway turnovers as the Miners are up 30-13. With 4:04 left in the third quarter, the Miners have built a 17-point lead. With 52 seconds to play in the third quarter, Neguanee has built a 22-point lead. Eric Lori drops a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the third quarter to put the Miners ahead 25 points.

Third quarter:

Negaunee: 40       Norway: 15

The Miners are looking to wrap up the game and cut down on the turnovers as they hold a 27 point lead with 5:30 to play in the fourth quarter. Tanner Uren hits a pair of free throws after Norway was called for a technical foul. Negaunee clears the bench as they have a 45-17 point lead with 4:20 left in the game. With 2:32 to play in the fourth quarter, the Miners hold a 45-22 advantage. The Miners are 1:15 away from winning their 15th game in a row as they are ahead 47-21.

The Miners got ahead early and never looked back as they wrapped up the conference championship with a road victory over Norway.
