Marquette, MIOctober 15, 2020 – Officials with the Vista Theater in Negaunee are continuing to raise funds for the clean up and repair of the roof on the theater, which collapsed in August.

Rusty Bowers, President of the Vista Theater Advisory Board, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to give an update of the effort.

Bowers explained that the theater held an online virtual community town hall last night saying they have raised about half of their $100,000 goal needed for debris removal and site preparation before winter.

He said there have been some issues with availability of construction crews to do the work and delivery of needed materials being delayed due to COVID-19.

Bowers added that fundraising through a GoFundMe page is continuing as well as through a returnable can and bottle drive.
