Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Superior Arts Youth Theater’s production of “Once on This Island Jr.” is making it’s run August 6th through the 9th and August 12th through the 15th at the Lake Superior Theatre in Marquette.
Co-director Nikke Nason and cast member Emma Bradley joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the show.
Nason said the story is an adaptation of the popular Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale “The Little Mermaid” set in the Caribbean and the cast contains approximately 70 youth ages 3 to 18.
She added that the production also features 1:00 p.m. matinees on Saturday, August 8th and Saturday, August 15th.
Cast member Emma Bradley talked about her role in the production as the storyteller who provided the narration that keeps the show moving along.
Bradley said the role has a large amount of responsibility, but has been a rewarding experience.
