Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University is spreading the word about their Manufacturing Production Technician Diploma program.
Bob Eslinger, Associate Vice President for Innovation, Economic Development & Community Engagement at NMU and Technology & Occupational Sciences Department Head John Centko joined the SUNNY Morning Show today to talk about the program and some informational seminars coming up this week.
Eslinger says the program is sponsored by industry partners and is a comprehensive educational program that takes a “learning by doing” approach to learning about working in the manufacturing field.
Centko says the program has broad industry support and when it is completed, it will allow a student to join the workforce or continue their education if they so choose.
Eslinger added that industry support for the program includes guaranteed job interviews, possible tuition reimbursement packages and part-time employment while enrolled.
There will be two public information sessions held to provide program and class details.
