MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Today is Diabetes Alert Day and Paula Ackerman from the UP Diabetes Outreach Network called in to the SUNNY Morning Show to discuss the day and the condition.
She outlined several risk factors for diabetes and how to manage the disease and how to get more information about it.
Ackerman also chatted about the role of one’s ethnicity and genetics in becoming diabetic and what to watch for.
