Marquette, MI – (mediaBrew Communications) – The Michigan Department of Corrections is launching a new effort to hire people in the Upper Peninsula who are interested in careers in corrections, and they are hosting a special Open House event to share information about career options.
Pamela Basal, who is a Hearings Investigator at the Marquette Branch Prison in Marquette, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to talk about the open house at Marquette Branch Prison this Wednesday, August 21st from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Basal talked about what jobs the state is looking to fill, and at which locations, as well as the pay and benefits.
She also shared some of the requirements of becoming a Corrections Officer and the type of people they are looking for, as well as the required training for the position.
