Marquette, MI – (01-06-20) – Long-time blood donor Mark Johnson joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today for a quick chat about reaching his latest donation milestone.  The Marquette native said he was heading to the U.P. Regional Blood Center to give his latest donation, which would be his 1000th total donation of whole blood or platelets.

Johnson explained that he has made giving blood his mission in an effort to help others who need it.  He said while it’s a minor inconvenience for him to donate, he feels those in need of blood have much more of an inconvenience going on in their lives to deal with, and his donations can help.

He also encouraged others to take the time to give blood, as it’s quick and painless and will help people in need.
