Marquette, MI – (01/22/20) – One of Michigan’s premier winter events, the U.P. 200 Sled Dog Weekend, is coming up soon in Marquette and Alger Counties. Ross Anthony, with the U.P. Sled Dog Association, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to preview this popular celebration of dog sledding.
Anthony said the weekend officially starts with opening ceremonies at 6:30 pm on Friday, February 14th in Downtown Marquette, but preparations are already in full swing and volunteers are still needed.
He shared some of the highlights of the weekend’s schedule, and said that anyone that is interested in volunteering to help make the weekend run smoothly can find out more at the UPSDA website. He encouraged everyone to consider signing up because there are a multitude of skill that are needed.
